History : o/s, reported to have difficulty defecating for 2 weeks but defecates once a day
Subjective: BARH
Observed Behavior – very sweet. Easily handleable. Did well for all medical handling and procedures
Evidence of Cruelty seen – no
Evidence of Trauma seen – no

P = wnl
R = eupneic
BCS 6/9
EENT: Eyes clear, ears clean, no nasal discharge noted
Oral Exam: clean adult dentition, no oral lesions noted
PLN: No enlargements noted
H/L: NSR, NMA, CRT < 2, Lungs clear, eupneic
ABD: Non painful, no masses palpated
U/G: MN, small but hard bladder, unable to express bladder
MSI: Ambulatory x 4, skin free of parasites, no masses noted, healthy hair coat
CNS: mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities
Assessment:
Possible urinary blockage
Plan: Continue to monitor while at BACC
Induced with butorphanol 0.2mg/kg + dexdomitor 10mcg/kg IV with isolfurane as maintenance.
Unblocked and set up UCS
LRS SQ 20ml/kg
Start prazosin 1mg PO BID x7d
Start simbadol 0.24mg/kg SQ SID x5d
E-collar
Prognosis: Good to poor depending on medical treatment
SURGERY: neutered

Basic Information:
Mambo is a 1yr old , Neutered that was adopted from NSAL. Mambo has never suffered any injuries however for the past 2 weeks he had trouble pooping.Mambo did visit the vet about 6 months ago for a checkup.

How is this cat around strangers?
Around stranger mambo is tolerant and mostly keeps to himself.When strangers enter the home he stays to himself, if he does approach its just to smell.
How is this cat around children?
Mambo has lived in the home with a 3 & 5 year old. Mamabo was respectful and playful with the children. he played gentle with the children.mambo never experience any behavior concerns towards the children.
How is this cat around other cats?
No known experiences with cats.
How is this cat around dogs?
no known experience with dogs

Mambo is friendly and independent. mambo allowed to be rubbed and pet however after some time he will walk away. he doesn’t like to be picked for long periods of time after a while he will wiggly away.

Mambo has never bitten anyone or animal. no known bite history.

the previous owner stated that Mambo has had trouble defecating off and off for the past 2 weeks. mambo goes to the defecates at least once a day.
