11/27/16 16:14 Basic Information: Mamachka is a female domestic short hair cat who was surrendered due to her previous owner not having the time to care for her. Socialization: Around strangers Mamachka is friendly and plays gently with adults and children. Mamachka has lived with children ages 2 to 12 years old around them she is relaxed and affectionate. Mamachka has lived with one other cat that she was relaxed and affectionate toward. Mamachka has never been around dogs so it is unknown how she will react to them. Behavior: Mamachka has never bitten/scratched another person/animal and is relaxed when riding in a car. Mamachka’s previous owner did not attempt to give her a bath or trim her nails so it is unknown how she will react to those events. Mamachka enjoys being brushed, picked up/held, placed in a carrier and doesn’t mind being disturbed while she is resting/sleeping. For a new family to Know: Mamachka is described as: friendly, affectionate, playful, confident and quiet with a medium activity level. When at home Mamachka will follow around her owner and likes to play with string. Mamachka was kept indoors only and was fed dry food. Mamachka is litter box trained and used a hood ed litter box with litter from the brand Tidy cat. Mamachka was not given a scratching post so it is unknown how she will react to it. Intake behavior: Mamachka was a bit nervous and shied away from staff but allowed staff to collar, scan for a microchip and take pictures with no signs of aggression.

As per previous owner, Mamachka is friendly around strangers and plays gentle with adults and children. She lived with children ages 2-12 years old and was relaxed and affectionate with them. Mamachka has lived with one other cat and was relaxed and affectionate toward him. She enjoys being brushed, picked up/held and doesn’t mind being placed in a carrier. Her owner describes her as friendly, affectionate, playful, confident and quiet with a medium activity level. Reaction to assessor: Mamachka was lying down at the back of the kennel with her tail curled up at her side. Reaction when softly spoken to: Mamachka turns towards the assessor, makes eye contact and doesn’t get up or come forward when coaxed. Reaction to cage door opening: Mamachka remains neutral. Reaction to touch: Mamachka sniffs the assessor’s hand and leans in allowing rubs and petting all over her body. She slowly gets more comfortable with being touched, gives soft head butts and inches to the front of the kennel with her lowered. Reaction to being picked up: Mamachka was a bit tense when picked up, curls up in the assessor’s arms and looks around at her surroundings. Behavior Determination: Experience Mamachka may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to her new home. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
