Mama Kitty is so into giving and receiving affection, she’d be in perfect bliss spending the entire day rubbing against and head-butting humans. Gracious and gentle, Mama Kitty comes to us from a home. Her former owner said that she’s friendly with strangers, plays nicely with adults, and has lived with other cats and is relaxed around them. She’s the affection fiend and love machine of the cat adoption room, and she’s ready to show you what love feels like today! MAMA KITTY and her two pals GINGER (A1056754) and PRINCE ( A1075802 ) need rescue now. MAMA KITTY is only 2 years old and a super AVERAGE rated head-butting sweetie. 05/31/16 20:56 Basic information: Mama kitty is a 4 year old spayed female domestic short hair. She was found as a stray when she was a kitten. She was surrendered because her previous owner lost his home. She has no known injuries and the last time she went to the vet was 11-16-15. Socialization: Around strangers Mama kitty is shy for a few minutes and when she plays with adults she is gentle. She lives with 5 other cats. With them she was relaxed and affectionate. Behavior: She has never attempted to bite a person or animal. In car rides she sleeps. Her previous owner has never attempted to give her a bath or trim her nails. She enjoys having her coat brushed and being picked up. She isn’t bothered if she is placed in a carrier or disturbed while sleeping. For a new family to know: Mama kitty is described as friendly, affectionate, mellow, and independent. She has a medium activity level and her previous owner loved how affectionate she is. When her previous owner was home Mama kitty would tend to follow him around. She liked to play with balls and stuffed toys. She was kept indoors only. At night she slept anywhere. She ate both wet and dry friskies and 9 lives. She is liter box trained and used a hooded litter box and clumping cat litter. She used a vertical scratching post made of rough rope cardboard and smooth wood. Behavior during intake: Mama kitty had a relaxed body. She allowed me to pet her, and collar her. She showed no signs of aggression.

Reaction to assessor: Mama looks neutral in her cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Mama remains crouched position on her cage bedding, alert with normal shape eyes. Reaction to touch: Mama engages to head-butt the assessor’s hand and appreciates petting on the head and body. Reaction to Being Picked up: She calmly jumps back into her cage. Placement determination: Average Mama Kitty interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
