10/28/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Magenta was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to him behavior in him previous home. Reaction to assessor: Magenta was lying down on his blanket near the back of the kennel. Reaction when softly spoken to: Magenta keeps her tail curled at his side, slow blinks then focuses on the assessor’s movements. Reaction to cage door opening: Magenta lies motionless. Reaction to touch: Magenta seems unsure and slowly moves away when the assessor extends his hand out. He becomes immobile when touched then lip licks and looks around at his surroundings. His body slowly relaxes and gets used to contact, he leans in when rubbed on his cheeks and gives light head butts. He allows petting all over but feels confident at the back and doesn’t come forward. Behavior Determination: Experience Magenta may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his new home. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
