Exam Type BEHAVIOR
As per previous owner, Luna is friendly and social towards strangers after getting to know them. She has resided with small children and was tolerant of child play. Luna plays gentle with adults and children and was tolerant of the other cats living in the home. Her owners say she doesn’t mind being picked up, loves attention and doesn’t mind being placed in a carrier. She is best described as friendly, affectionate and loves playing with her cat ball toys around the house. Reaction to assessor: Luna was resting on her blanket at the back of the kennel. Reaction when softly spoken to: Luna lifts her head up, makes eye contact and leans forward towards the assessor. Reaction to cage door opening: Luna remains neutral. Reaction to touch: Luna allows petting all over and slowly rises up when touched along her body. She keeps her tail lowered but she sniffs the assessor’s hand, lightly rubs up for attention. At the front she looks around at her surroundings and starts to lip lick. Reaction to being picked up: Luna is tense when held, grumbles and struggles to be put down. Behavior Determination: Experience Luna may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to her new home. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
