Hello, my name is Luna. My animal id is #8793. I am a desexed female white cat at the Manhattan Animal Care Center. The shelter thinks i am about 6 years 1 weeks old. – P
I came into the shelter as a owner surrender on 03-Oct-2017, with the surrender reason stated as animal behaviour – aggressive to other animals.

Yes History : Owner Surrender Subjective: BAR, Observed Behavior – very easy to handle, calm for exam Evidence of Cruelty seen – No Evidence of Trauma seen – no Objective T = P = 200 R = 30 BCS 6/9 EENT: Eyes clear, ears clean, no nasal or ocular discharge noted. Horizontal nystagmus noted but this is a normal finding for this breed (Siamese x) Oral Exam: Moderate dental tartar noted, no gingivitis PLN: No enlargements noted H/L: NSR, NMA, CRT < 2, Lungs clear, eupnic ABD: Non painful, no masses palpated U/G: Spayed female MSI: Ambulatory x 4, skin free of parasites, no masses noted, healthy hair coat CNS: Mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities Rectal: not done Assessment Healthy Adult Cat Mod dental tartar Prognosis: Excellent Plan: Ready for adoption SURGERY: Already spayed

ENRICHMENT NOTES: 10/4/17 Curled up in litter box, head down, eyes dilated. Lay in place when door opened. Held completely immobile when pet, no response at all. On second visit, in nearly the same position, but with face pressed into corner. 10/5/17 Curled up at back of cubby, head up today, but eyes still dilated. Lay in place when opened. Tolerated pets, slightly leaned into throat rubs, otherwise no response. Cage Condition: No change Reaction to assessor: Luna remains tense, crouched down hiding in the cage cubby during the approach. Reaction when softly spoken to: Luna remains immobile in place. Reaction to cage door opening: Luna stiffens up, alert with eyes dilated, pressed against the back wall. Reaction to touch: Luna accepts the touch, but shows no interest and shrinks in place. ACTIVITY LEVEL: Laid back VOCAL: Quiet CHARACTER TYPE: Skittish Independent POTENTIAL CHALLENGES: None BEHAVIOR DETERMINATION: Experienced, adult only Behavior Asilomar TM – Treatable-Manageable RECOMMENDATIONS: None BEHAVIOR SUMMARY: Luna tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in an experienced, adult only home who understands this cat may need time to warm up to his/her new home and family at his/her own pace.
