07/26/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – AVERAGE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Lucca was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to his behavior in his previous home. His finder brought him into their home for a couple of days and reported he sprayed around the home, but this may due to Lucca being unaltered and introduced to an unfamiliar environment. He spent time around a 5 year old child and was gentle around the child. He does not like to be held for a long period of time, but got along well with the other cat and dog in the home. He has a medium activity level and would playfully chase the other cat. Reaction to assessor: Lucca was resting upon approach. Reaction when softly spoken to: Lucca looks at the assessor and blinks sleepily. He then puts his head back down to rest again. Reaction to cage door opening: Lucca remains soft and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Lucca was hesitant at first and sniffs the assessor’s hand, but accepts petting and warms up. He leans in for petting, rolls over, and begins to purr. Reaction to being picked up: Lucca remains calm and allows handling. Behavior Determination: Average Lucca interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
