**SAFE 06/23/16** LOLA would make a perfect cat-friend! This sweet black beauty is 1 year old and pregnant. Her owner found out she was pregnant and brought her to the shelter because there were too many pets in the home and they didn’t want kittens. Poor LOLA and her unborn kittens are facing lethal injection tomorrow, if they aren’t rescued. How tragic! LOLA was a wonderful pet. She got along with dogs and other cats and is described as friendly, affectionate, very playful, confident, assertive & talkative (at times) with a medium-very high activity level. She followed the owner around. A keeper for sure, since LOLA is pregnant, she is available through New Hope Rescue. If you’d like to save LOLA and her unborn kittens, please contact [email protected]. LOLA enjoys being picked up and held. Lots of purrs in your future if you save LOLA and her unborn kittens!!!

06/22/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Lola’s former owner stated around strangers she is friendly/outgoing. She is very friendly with children of all ages and plays exuberantly with them. She lived in the home with a male cat and got along with him. She has been around dogs and is fine with them as well. Also, described as friendly, affectionate, very playful, confident, assertive & talkative (at times) with a medium-very high activity level. Reaction to assessor: Lola looks tense in the cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Lola remains curled up on her cage bedding, growling in place, alert with eyes wide open. Reaction to touch: Lola hisses at the assessor’s hand, but when touched she seems conflicted and leans into the pets while she is wary with her surroundings. Placement determination: Experience / no child Lola tolerates attention and petting but may be stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
