***SAFE 02/09/16*** LIVED WITH ANOTHER CAT AND WAS AFFECTIONATE WITH HIM – YET WHEN HIS OWNER MOVED, THEY CHOSE TO LEAVE LITTLE GREY BEHIND!! LITTLE GREY lived with adults and one other cat whom he was playful and affectionate with- yet when this owner decided to move, he left LITTLE GREY out of the picture! How sad that LITTLE GREY now is missing his feline friend plus his home! This cat is a wonderful family pet who now caught the shelter cold and is going to be killed for it. He is not happy in the shelter and very sad and confused – the assessor gave him an EXPNOCHILD rating even though we all know this is not his true nature. GIVE LITTLE GREY A DEATH ROW PARDON TONIGHT – HE SHOULD BE IN A HAPPY HOME AND NOT ON A KILL LIST – CONTACT A RESCUE NOW TO SAVE HIM!

02/01/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Little Grey’s previous owner reports he has lived with two adults and another cat. He was playful and affectionate with this cat. He was kept indoors and has never been exposed to children or dogs in the home. When visitors come to the home, he will flee and will not emerge again until the visitors have left. He is comfortable and affectionate with the family. He prefers to approach for petting on his own, but will allow himself to be approached by his family. Reaction to Assessor: Little Grey was calm and relaxed upon approach. Reaction when softly spoken to: Little Grey looks at the assessor with relaxed eyes, but his ears tilt slightly sideways. Reaction to cage door opening: Little Grey remains motionless. Reaction to touch: Little Grey was hesitant, but he sniffs the assessor’s hand. He shifts away slightly, but allows petting and twitches when touched on his body. He lip licks during the interaction. Placement Determination: Experience No Child Little Grey tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. He may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children. Enrichment notes show slow improvement in Little Grey’s behavior, though he remains stressed in the shelter environment. Enrichment team interactions: 01/31/16 Sunday (Day 1) Glass eyes, focused on movements. Curled up in the litter box. Tense, tail lowered. Lick lips. Allows petting. Slowly tilts head allowing rubs. 02/02/16 Tuesday (Day 3) Sitting at the back, tense. Ears perked up. Sniffs hand and allows petting. Hesitant at first. Tense body when held. Opens up and head butts hand. Comes forward slowly. Tail lowered. 02/04/16 Thursday (Day 5) At the back. Tense body. Eyes dilated. Ears bend flat. Very cautious. Hesitant. Doesn’t come forward. Sniffs hand and allows petting. Eats treats, warms up and will lightly head butt. Eventually gets up and comes to the front. Allows petting all over his body. Huge improvement. 02/08/16 Monday (Day 7) Ears flat, tail curled up under body. Tense, grumbles when the door opens. Sniffs hand then warms up. Allows petting all over. Comes forward slowly. Hesitant.
