10 year old LIONEL lost his home when owner died. He has some ear issues which should have a follow up vet check. Lionel is already neutered and needs a furever home. He is calm and friendly.

03/28/18
Lying in litterbox, body tense. Tolerates petting along head and body while turning head to watch my hand and licking his lips. Ears are tilted. Nervous, needs more time to adjust.
03/29/18
Lying in litterbox, ears forward and eyes alert. Makes eye contact when spoken to and then leans forward and begins to sniff the air. He stands up abruptly as I open the kennel door and steps forward to greet me with a head-butt. Allows petting along his head and body while leaning in with energy and raising his fluffy tail. He licks my arms and rubs his cheeks all over my hands. Almost falls out of cage while leaning in for petting. Super social and affectionate – he’s really come out of his shell since yesterday. He has no teeth so I offer him some tuna puree, which finishes completely. Did great today!
