LINUS – A1085790
Gone - 9-2-2016 Brooklyn
***GONE 09/02/16**LINUS IS NEUTERED, 3 YEARS OLD, AND SCARED TO DEATH! PLEASE SAVE HIM! He was dropped off with another cat, who tried to ‘escape’ and obviously he’s from a home, totally non aggressive, with the ACC cold. Now LINUS is in danger of being killed, for he’s a frightened black and white cat on a large list. LINUS is one of those Tuxie cats with so much potential and love to give. Foster him, give him a chance, and let LINUS become your best bud…foster him til forever or adopt him and save his life….he’s lost his friend in the ‘shelter’ system and needs you now!

08/29/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Linus was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to his behavior in his previous home. He was nervous upon intake and displayed distance-increasing behaviors during his initial medical exam. Reaction to assessor: Linus becomes stiff and alert when approached, and has dilated eyes. Reaction when softly spoken to: Linus’s eyes soften a little and he averts his gaze. Reaction to cage door opening: Linus lip licks and remains motionless. Reaction to touch: Linus slowly gets up and sticks his head forward to sniff the assessor’s hand. He allows brief touch on his head, but slowly shifts away and wraps his tail tightly around his body, lip licking and blinking. Placement Determination: Experienced, No Children Linus tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. He may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
