LIN – A1061824
Gone - 1-11-2016 Brooklyn
**GONE 01/11/16** LIN IS A PERFECTLY HEALTHY CAT WHOSE OWNER WAS EVICTED AND NOW THIS POOR SCARED GIRL WILL DIE FOR HER FEAR! Poor LIN is a 4 year old kitty who is already spayed and was used to living in a home. Sadly when her owner lost his home, she was brought to the shelter where she is absolutely terrified. She will not let anyone touch her and has been punished with a NEW HOPE RATING. LIN needs you tonight to overlook her fear and give her a chance to escape doom Monday when the ACC plans to end her life. The ACC has admitted she is not acclimating well to the shelter environment but rather than trying to place her with someone who can let her calm down, they plan on just killing her. CAN SOMEONE FOSTER OR ADOPT THIS FRIGHTENED KITTY? SHE IS MISSING HER OWNER AND HOME AND OF COURSE SHE IS SCARED! CONTACT A RESCUE NOW TO PULL HER TO SAFETY.

01/02/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Lin does not come to front but remains neutral When spoken quietly: Lin does not come to front but remains neutral Reaction to door cage opening: Lin becomes stiff, alert Reaction to touch: Lin starts to unirnate on herself out of fear. She also hisses, strikes and does not allows petting at all Try picking cat up: Lin did not attempt to pick up Lin due fractious behavior Behavior Determination: NewHope Lin was bought into the care center due to her previous owner being evicted. We don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies previous to what we are seeing during the evaluation. Lin seems to not be thriving in this environment and at the time of the assessment she was displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room. Lin may require further investigation before placement in a home. She is extremely fearful and currently does not tolerate petting or handling. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time.
