Lilly showed up around the finder’s home about a week ago. The finder states that Lilly was not interacting with the other stray cats outside. Last night, the finder noticed that Lilly had an injury. She took her in her home until she could be brought to ACC. While in her home, Lilly at dry cat food and used the litter box. The finder says that she was sweet, affectionate, and allowed her to clean her injury.
Upon Arrival, Lilly was carried in the finder’s arms and placed in a carrier when she arrived. Lilly was sitting at the front of the carrier door. When the door was opened she raised her back end and rubbed her head on the carrier wall. She slowly walked onto the counter herself and solicited attention from the counselor by nuzzling her head. She pulled her injured paw away when the counselor touched it but, she did not hiss or swat. She was easily collared, scanned (negative), and photographed. When the carrier was placed back on the counter, Lilly walked into the carrier herself. When the door was closed, she turned around, hissed, and reached her paw through the door. She immediately relaxed after. She was than given wet food and she began eating it right away.
A volunteer writes: Lilly is a Calico with mostly white fur and a dark tail. She is a stray, but she is the sweetest kitty you will ever meet. She cherishes your company, relishing your head rubs, enchanted with your chin rubs, head butting for more. You can’t help falling in love with her. Come stop by and see how affectionate and loving she is. She will put a smile on your face when she peeks her little head out to see you. Don’t pass this lovely girl by.
