11/20/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Lil Kim was brought in without information on his behavioral tendencies in his previous home. He lived in a home with many cats. He was fearful during his initial medical exam, but he allowed the medical team to conduct all most handling. Reaction to assessor: Lil Kim was feint sleeping upon approach. Reaction when softly spoken to: Lil Kim’s ears tilt slightly, but he continues to feint sleep. Reaction to cage door opening: Lil Kim remains motionless. Reaction to touch: Lil Kim squints his eyes as the assessor extends their hand, but he sniffs it when placed in front of him. He was hesitant of touch and lip licked, but allows gentle petting on his head and body, and would lean in slightly for chin rubs. His body remains tense, and he appears wary of his surroundings. Behavior Determination: Experienced, No Children Lil Kim tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. He may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
