ACTIVITY LEVEL: Steady VOCAL: Quiet CHARACTER TYPE: Shy, Independent MEDICAL BEHAVIOR: 6/5/17- Observed Behavior – tense/nervous ENRICHMENT NOTES: 6/6/17 Crouched in den, no response to voice or door opening. Moved slowly within den to avoid being touched. Stuck nose out to sniff treats after door closed, didn’t eat. 6/7/17 In den, no response to voice or door opening. Held still when den was rotated to front. Flinched briefly when first touched, then held completely immobile, no other response. EVALUATION: Cage Condition: No change Reaction to assessor: Lil Debbie remains tense posture during the approach. Reaction to cage door opening: Lil Debbie remains alert with normal shape eyes, ears erect and forward with body flat down on the bedding. Reaction to touch: Lil Debbie allows the touch, while she stiffen up in place with no interest during the interaction. BEHAVIOR SUMMARY: Lil Debbie tolerates attention and petting, but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
