In addition to unwanted spraying behaviors, unneutered males are also more susceptible to testicular cancer. This time around, LIGER needs a RESPONSIBLE owner. 06/15/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
As per previous owner, Around strangers Liger is friendly and outgoing. He will come greet you as soon as you walk in and rub against you. Liger has not lived with children or dogs and has not been socialized with them. Liger is an indoor outdoor cat, has lived with female cats and is friendly with female cats. Liger does not like male cats and will fight with them. Liger doesn’t play much with the cats or with adults. Our enrichment facilitator has interacted with Liger and at the time he was resting at the back. Liger appears uncomfortable. His ears flatten and he kept his eyes closed. Liger tolerated petting but turned head away. Reaction to assessor: Liger does not come to front but remains neutral When spoken quietly: Liger does not come to front but remains neutral Reaction to door cage opening: Liger remains motionless Reaction to touch: Liger tries to push himself further back in the cage. He allowed petting but had flat ears. After awhile Liger leans into touch. Try picking cat up: Liger is tolerant of this type of handling but tense. Behavior Determination: Experience No Child At the time of the assessment Liger was displaying fearful behavior; does not seek attention from the assessor and becomes alert when the kennel was open. Liger tries to go further as I started to get closer but after a steady slow approach using soft voices he relaxed a little. I was able to pet him and interact with him. I was also able to pick him up and although he was tense no fractious behavior was display. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents with no children.
