Hello, my name is Liger. My animal id is #14872. I am a desexed female orange tabby cat at the Manhattan Animal Care Center. The shelter thinks I am about 4 years 1 weeks old. – P
I came into the shelter as a stray on 28-Nov-2017.
Liger is at risk due to being diagnosed with an Upper Respiratory Infection which is contagious to other cats. Liger will likely require n home care with a course of antibiotics. There are no behavior concerns for Liger at this time, average determination.

Pre-spay exam. DVM intake was limited due to pt’s behavior at that time. S: Alert, comes to the front of the kennel when I approach, allows petting and ear exam, leans into my hand when I pet, allows me to roll her over to look at her ventrum. O: BAR-H, BCS 7-8/9, MMs pink and moist EENT: Shaking head. Moderate black discharge AD, mild black discharge AS. No discharge OU, nose. H/L: Eupnic, not ausculted Abd: Not palpated M/S/I: Amb x4. Ventral abdomen previously shaved – no spay scar seen Neuro: Alert and appropriate, no sign neurological deficiencies A: 1. Likely ear mites 2. Overweight to obese Short-term prognosis: Good P: 1. Start Tresaderm AU BID x10 days 2. Okay for spay tomorrow 3. Recommend weight loss of 2-3 lbs 1088
S/O -QAR, docile -good appetite -mm pk, moist -no nasal discharge or sneezing noted or reported -OU: open and clear -eupnic -spay incision CDI A doing well post-spay P continue onsior, simbadol post-operatively
S/O -BAR, interactive and docile -good appetite, social eater -sneezing, sniffling, serous nasal discharge -appears eupnic A URI P move to isolation doxycycline 1 ml PO SID x 10 days cerenia 0.5 ml SQ SID x 2 days nebulize SID x 3 days
Pre-surgical exam, anesthesia, and surgery performed by ASPCA. Green linear tattoo placed lateral to incision. Start 0.63 cc simbadol 1.8 mg/ml sid x 3 days and 0.48 cc Robenacoxib 20 mg/ml sid x 3 days as pain management.
Liger was scheduled for an AM tx of Simbadol 1.8mg/mL. Gave 0.63mL SQ at 8:35AM from bottle #39 DVM 1382 Given by: 1215

Details on my behavior are…
Basic Information:: Two women brought in a cat they said they found in central park. They had a carrier with them and offered the cat treats and it walked into the bag. I let them know they can return the cat where they found it as the cat seemed healthy and friendly but they were too busy to take it back. They left before the intake process was completed. gabriel purvis
KNOWN HISTORY:: Liger was brought in as a stray, so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies in a home environment.
MEDICAL BEHAVIOR:: Fractious, had to use net, hissing and growling
Cage Condition:: No change
Reaction to assessor:: Liger remains neutral, sitting upright by the front on the cage during the approach.
Reaction when softly spoken to:: Liger shows interest and softly meows back.
Reaction to cage door opening:: Liger slowly walks away with tail down, ears erect and forward.
Reaction to touch:: Liger was hesitant but engages the assessor’s hand and head bunts while purring. However, he seems unsure with the interaction and randomly flinches during the petting.
Reaction to being picked up:: Allows the pickup and remains calm.
ACTIVITY LEVEL:: Moderate
VOCAL:: Quiet
CHARACTER TYPE: : Shy ,Sweet,Curious
BEHAVIOR DETERMINATION: : Average
Behavior Asilomar: H – Healthy
BEHAVIOR SUMMARY:: Liger interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
