Reaction to assessor: Licorice looks neutral, lying down on her cage bedding when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Licorice sits up in place, alert with normal shape eyes, softly meowing attention. Reaction to touch: Licorice slowly leans into the assessor’s hand and began to appreciate the petting. Reaction to Being Picked up: She briefly allows the pickup then calmly jumps back into the cage. Placement determination: Average Licorice interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
