*** SAFE 01/12/16 *** MELLOW AND AFFECTIONATE, LIAM WAS DUMPED FOR A NEW BABY AND NOW THAT HE HAS THE KITTY COLD, THEY ARE GOING TO END HIS EXISTENCE AT NOON TUESDAY!! LIAM is a sweet boy who is 3 years old and already neutered. He got a rave review from one of the shelter staff members. A volunteer writes: Liam is a curious kitty, with a beautiful gray and white spotted coat. He is incredibly interested in everything going on around him, and couldn’t wait to get out and explore his surroundings – totally a cat who will follow you around the house and want to help with whatever you are doing. He is also incredibly mellow, and enjoys being brushed and getting his nails trimmed. I’m in love with this spotty kitty!! LIAM was the absolute PURRFECT kitty in his home, but sadly a new baby came along and bingo – out the door he went. LIAM DESERVES A FUREVER HOME WHERE HE WILL BE LOVED AND CARED FOR. 12/31/15 17:58 Basic Information: Liam is a 3 year old male domestic short hair cat who is very palyful. Social Life and Personality: Liam has been around children age 4 years and is relaxed and doesn’t play much with them. Liam has nevevr been around any other cats or dogs so it is unknown how he will react to them. Liam is litter box trained and has been kept indoors only. Liam has a medium activity level and is described as; playful, shy, mellow, friedly, talkative and affectionate. Behavior Issues: Liam will claw on fabric but has no other behavior issues, Liam has never bitten another animal or person. Liam’s previous owner did not attempt to give Liam a bath so it is unknown how he will react to theis event. Liam enjoys having people trim his nails, brush his coat and pick up and hold him. Liam does not mind when people place him in a carrier or disturb him while he is sleeping. For a new family to Know: Liam likes to use litter from the brand Arm and Hammer in a hooded litter box. Liam likes to play with string and will follow you around the house. When Liam plays he can be very exuberant. Liam likes to eat dry food three times a day. For treats Liam’s previous owner would give him chicken and tuna. Liam likes to sleep under the dinning room table and on the dinning room chairs. Intake Behavior: Liam allowed staff to collar, scan for a microchip and take pictures with no signs of aggression.

Liam’s previous owner states that he has been around a 4 year old child and is relaxed around the child, but isn’t very playful. He has a medium activity level and was described as playful, shy, mellow, friendly, talkative, and affectionate. Liam enjoys having people trim his nails, brush his coat, and pick him up to hold him. Liam does not mind when people place him in a carrier or disturb him while he is sleeping. Liam likes to play with string and will follow you around the house. Reaction to assessor: Liam was resting in his cage upon approach. Reaction when softly spoken to: Liam wakes up and looks at the assessor, and rubs his cheeks against his litter box. Reaction to cage door opening: Liam remains soft and relaxed, and comes to the front. Reaction to touch: Liam head-butts lightly, leans into petting, and begins to purr. Reaction to being picked up: Liam remains calm and allows handling. Behavior Determination: Average Liam interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. No known history of behavioral problems. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
