11/08/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Lester was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to his behavior in his previous home. Reaction to assessor: Lester was resting on his blanket at the back of the kennel with his paws folded under his body. Reaction when softly spoken to: Lester’s ears perk up, he becomes alert then looks around wary of his surroundings. Reaction to cage door opening: Lester quickly shifts away. Reaction to touch: Lester seems unsure and lowers his head when the assessor extends his hand out. He closes his eyes, meows softly when pet on his head and slowly warms up the more you interact with him. He gains confidence, slowly approaches the front with his tail lowered, gives soft head butts and appreciates attention. Reaction to being picked up: Lester curls up in the assessor’s arms, slowly relaxes then retreats when placed down. Behavior Determination: Experience Lester may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his new home. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
