LEFFERTS – A1088224
Safe - 9-18-2016 Brooklyn Rescue: A Home Fur Now Rescue Please honor your pledges: http://www.ahomefurnowrescue.org/#!about1/c5rl
***SAFE 09/18/16*** CUTE LITTLE LEFFERTS IS ONLY A 10 MONTH OLD KITTEN WITH A COLD!! And at the ACC – a cold means a trip to the euth room – not the vet! LEFFERTS was brought in as a stray. Her fur was very matted and shaving some of the matts off made her more comfortable. However, in no time at all she caught the kitty cold, which fast tracked her to tonight’s list. LEFFERTS is EXPERIENCE rated even though she allowed all handling and leaned into the assessor’s hand for rubs. But since she is a kitten, she was a bit hissy, so of course that is a big no-no at the shelter. LEFFERTS needs a rescue angel to give her a chance to relax and be a kitten! IF YOU CAN FOSTER OR ADOPT THIS CUTIE, PLEASE EMAIL THE HELP DESK AT [email protected] NOW.

09/06/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Lefferts was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to her behavior in her previous home. Reaction to assessor: Lefferts was curled up in the back of the kennel. Reaction when softly spoken to: Lefferts stays motionless and was feint sleeping on her blanket. Reaction to cage door opening: Lefferts remains motionless. Reaction to touch: Lefferts sniffs the assessor’s hand and allows petting all over. She slowly comes forward with her tail at body level and leans in for rubs. Her movements are slow, she appreciates attention and her tail slowly rises when rubbed along her body. Reaction to being picked up: Lefferts is tense when held and struggles to be put down. She hisses when retreats to the back when placed down. Behavior Determination: Experience Lefferts may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to her new home. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
