11/08/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Lavender was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to her behavior in her previous home. Reaction to assessor: Lavender was stretched out and relaxed, lying down on her blanket. Reaction when softly spoken to: Lavender slowly approaches the front and gently rubs up against her litter and food bowl. Reaction to cage door opening: Lavender meows softly then moves to the back and curls up. Reaction to touch: Lavender seems hesitant at first, leans forward to sniffs the assessor’s hand and allows petting all over her body. She slowly relaxes, comes forward with her body lowered and seems wary of her surroundings. Her body relaxes a bit, she gives light head butts when rubbed on her head and looks out scanning her surroundings. Reaction to being picked up: Lavender was a bit tense when picked up and looks around wary of her surroundings. Behavior Determination: Experience Lavender may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his new home. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
