07/07/16 14:17 Lavender is a female tortie colored DSH with no known medical conditions. Lavender was found wandering loose in the street and allowed finder to pick her up and pet her. Finder described Lavender as friendly affectionate and sweet. During intake Lavender was very relaxed. Lavender allowed to be scanned and collared with a loose body. Lavender allowed counselor to pick her up and pressed herself into counselors body while purring. Lavender enjoyed being pet and was very affectionate. Lavender was content with being in counsleor arms for a long period of time.

Reaction to assessor: Lavender comes to the front of the cage soliciting attention When spoken quietly: Lavender stays at front and continues soliciting attention Reaction to door cage opening: Lavender remains soft & relaxed Reaction to touch: Lavender solicits Lavender petting and attention Try picking cat up: Lavender is tolerant of this type of handling. Behavior Determination: Beginner Lavender was brought to the care center as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies previous to what we are seeing during the evaluation. At the time of the assessment she was displaying friendly behavior, comes to the front of the kennel, interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. Lavender is displaying behavior appropriate for a beginner cat owner.
