LAVENDER – A1075432
Gone - 6-1-2016 Brooklyn
***GONE 06/01/16 *** DARK LADY OF MYSTERY NEEDS A PURRSON OF UNDERSTANDING!! LAVENDER is a terrified one year old, caught in someone’s yard. Her whole life has probably been the street so the idea of being in a noisy, scary place like the ACC must have sent her world spinning…..LAVENDER is NEW HOPE rated and it means she must be pulled by a rescue. The lists have been growing larger since the end of MAY and that means most regular fosters are full. RESCUES need new people to step up to help cats like LAVENDER who need a little bit more….If you are in the vicinity of NYC, please contact a NEW HOPE rescue and apply to FOSTER. IT DOES SAVE LIVES, LIVE LAVENDER’S…..
For assistance, email [email protected]. Volunteers are standing by…..

05/31/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Lavender was hiding at the back of the cage When spoken quietly: Lavender continues to hide Reaction to door cage opening: Lavender becomes alert Reaction to touch: Lavender appears fearful and becomes very tense. Her eyes start to dart around the cage. She does not allows petting at all and may attempt to flee Try picking cat up: Did not attempt Behavior Determination: NewHope Lavender was brought to the care center as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies previous to what we are seeing during the evaluation. Lavender seems to not be thriving in this environment and at the time of the assessment she was was displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room. Lavender may require further investigation before placement in a home. She has tried to flee in the past and is extremely fearful. Lavender currently does not tolerate petting or handling. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time.
