During intake Laney was meowing and trying to flee but she did allow the counselor to pick her up take her picture and collar her.

Observed Behavior – Caution with handling, resents palpation, could not examine mouth well.

Lying in back of kennel with a relaxed body, ears forward. She sits up to sniff my hand as I reach towards her and allows petting along her head and body while leaning in and rolling over onto her side. Allows all petting for duration of this session. Doing well!

Laney looks at the assessor and lifts her rear, and then goes back to eating her food.

Laney sniffs the assessor’s hand and accepts petting. She warms up to attention and starts to rub against the assessor, purring, leaning in, and rolling around.

Laney remains calm and continues to purr when held. She meows when placed back down and continues to solicit attention.
