11/01/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Lambda was brought in without information on his behavioral tendencies in his previous home environment. He lived with lots of other cats and appeared well during intake. He was tense and nervous during his initial medical exam, but allowed all handling to be conducted. Reaction to assessor: Lambda was calm and relaxed upon approach. Reaction when softly spoken to: Lambda looks at the assessor, but then averts his gaze. Reaction to cage door opening: Lambda becomes alert, but remains motionless. Reaction to touch: Lambda was hesitant of touch, but remains immobile as the assessor pets him on his head and body and looks around during the interaction. Behavior Determination: Experienced, No Children Lambda tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. He may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
