S/O: female, owner reported 4 weeks old – underweight body condition and teeth are just starting to erupt (not able to eat on own yet). severe flea infestation! pale gums, active and allowed syringe feeding (milk replacer and a/d slurry), heart and lungs WNL, no URI signs, microchip scan negative
A: underage/underweight
severe flea infestation
suspect anemia
not eating on own
P: gave 10 ml LRS SQ on exam
gave 1/2 capstar PO on exam
applied 1 drop of revolution topically
syringe fed on exam
placed on snuggle safe disc with blankets for heat support
recommend new hope placement for continued supportive care for flea anemia
**** PLEASE NOTE **** KITTENS under the age of 8 weeks or weighing 2 pounds or less CAN ONLY be PULLED by a RESCUE!!!! IF INTERESTED, PLEASE contact a RESCUE ASAP!!!
