SUPERMAN – A0746909 aka KITTY – A1067159
Safe - 3-29-2016 Manhattan Rescue: Staten Island Hope Please honor your pledges: http://www.statenislandhoperescue.org/
**SAFE 03/29/16** SUPER HERO NEEDED TO SAVE SUPERMAN TONIGHT !! A volunteer writes: Is it a bird? Is it a plane? Is it a tabby-colored blimp? No, it’s…Superman! Handsome as they come and with a personality as big as his belly, Superman was adopted from us a few years ago and seems to have been living the high life ever since. Sadly, his owner recently fell ill and now this gorgeous guy finds himself back at the Care Center and none too happy about it either. When we first met he was not comfortable with his new ‘home’ and a hastily snapped through-the-door photo was all the interaction we could share but fast forward a few days and look at Superman now! Whether coming to the front of his den for head scratches or stretching waaaay out on his back while giving me ‘bedroom eyes’, this young hunk really knows how to turn on the charm. Though he’s not one for being picked up and quickly lets me know when he’s had enough petting, Superman loves to socialize and it’s easy to picture him as the glorious King of his new castle, greeting you at the door when you get home from work, lounging by your side on the couch and generally just classing up the joint with his gorgeous self. Superman isn’t a pet for everyone but in an adult-only home with experienced cat parents he’s going to shine like a star–a SUPERstar! SUPERMAN IS EXPERIENCE RATED AND ROLLED OVER AND PURRED FOR THE ASSESSOR! HE HAS A KITTY COLD AND THAT IS NO REASON TO KILL – PLEASE BE A SUPER ADOPTER TONIGHT AND CONTACT A RESCUE TO PULL SUPERMAN TO SAFETY!!

03/12/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Kitty looks neutral in the cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Kitty remains lying down on his bedding, alert with eyes wide open. Reaction to touch: Kitty hisses at first, then grumbles at the assessor’s hand however while he accepts the stroke he began to loosen up, purr in place and rolls over as he appreciates the pets. Placement determination: Experience Kitty tolerates attention and petting but may be stressed in the shelter. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
