KITTI ANN – A1070909
Safe - 5-4-2016 Manhattan Rescue: Staten Island Hope Please honor your pledges: http://www.statenislandhoperescue.org/
**SAFE 05/04/16** LEFT BEHIND BY THE FAMILY SHE LOVED! “A volunteer writes: A very cute young lady with a very cute name, that’s our Kitti Ann. Her previous owner stated that she is affectionate and friendly with those she knows, and would rub against her if she wanted attention. She enjoys having her fur brushed, and preferred quiet, dark places. She would hide when visitors came over, and would sleep under the bed at night. She lived with another cat that she would play with but also spent a lot of time on her own. We feel that Kitti Ann is stressed at the shelter, and will do fine in a quieter household without young children, with people who have some experience with cats and understand when a cat needs to be left alone. If you’re looking for a sweet, independent young lady, who might get along with another cat, here she is, come get her!” Doesn’t KITTI ANN deserve a nice new life, just as her former owners got for themselves when they DUMPED her at the ACC? Of course she does! Please advocate widely for this glorious tabby, tonight!

Kitti’s former owner described her as friendly and affectionate. She lived with adults only. She also lived with another female cat that she interacted with. They would play together but spent a lot of time to themselves. Reaction to assessor: Kitti Ann looks neutral in the cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Kitti Ann remains crouched position on her cager bedding, alert with eyes wide open. Reaction to touch: Kitti Ann retreats from the assessor’s hand, accepts the stroke while she hisses and attempts to swat. Placement determination: Experience / no child Kitti Ann tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
