KIP – A1073202
Gone - 5-14-2016 Manhattan
***GONE 05/14/16*** SECOND CHANCE FOR KIP!! MAKE IT COUNT!! ….This beautiful boy is only about 3 years old, brought to the ACC by a former owner who claimed that “pet health” was the reason for their betrayal. The ACC medical notes are somewhat confusing, stating he is FIV+ in one place—but look over there—somewhere else, the shelter says he is FELV+. The ACC gave KIP a behavioral evaluation of EXPNOCHILD because he is a scared guy and will need some time after being betrayed by his owner. The majority of their language in his notes, points to Kip being FIV+. FIV+ cats can live with non positive cats, dogs or as solo cats…..and they can lead long healthy lives. The ACC has now made KIP publicly adoptable so someone can step right up and give handsome KIP a “furrever” home!!

05/12/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
During intake, Kip hissed when the counselor approached. His ears were flat and his body was crouched low and stood very still. He was very fearful. Reaction to assessor: Kip lays in place with eyes dilated, partly hidden by his litter box. Reaction when softly spoken to: Kip continues to hide. Reaction to cage door opening: Kip remains motionless and does not respond. Reaction to touch: Kip continues to hide and is immobile when touched. Behavior Determination: Experienced, no children. Kip tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. He may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his or her new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
