FOSTER CARE 8/31/17 This adorable duo are still quite shy and unsure of people, and would benefit from a bit of socialization before heading off to forever homes!

I came in with Group/Litter #K17-107498

Medical::

08/11/17:

Microchip: scan negative

Sex: female

Age~4weeks

Mentation: appropriate

Eyes: clear

Ears: clear

Nose: clear

Teeth: normal

If abnormal BCS:

Skin: flea

Hair Coat: clean

Declawed: no

Any injuries: none

Behavior: hissed but was easily handled

Medication: none

08/12/17:

DVM Intake Exam

Estimated age: 4 weeks

Microchip noted on Intake?  negative

History : stray

Subjective:  BARH, appear to be eating wet food on their own

Observed Behavior: hisses in cage when first approached but allows all medical handling and is vocal at the front of the cage

Evidence of Cruelty seen – no

Evidence of Trauma seen – no

Objective

P = wnl                          R = wnl                              BCS 4/9

EENT:  Eyes clear, ears clean, no nasal discharge noted

Oral Exam:  no oral lesions noted, kitten dentition

PLN:  No enlargements noted

H/L:  NSR, NMA, CRT < 2,    Lungs clear, eupneic

ABD:  Non painful, no masses palpated

U/G:  FI

MSI:  Ambulatory x 4, skin free of parasites, no masses noted, healthy hair coat

CNS:  mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities

Assessment: Underage

Plan: CTM while at BACC

Prognosis: good

SURGERY: Temporary waiver due to underage/underweight

Chad Michael A1121635, 4 Weeks Old, Black DSH, Male, 0.9 lbs, Stray 08/11/17
