*** SAFE 06/03/16 *** BEGINNER SWEETHEART KERCHAK WAS FOUND IN THE BRONX LOOKING FOR ATTENTION IN FRONT OF SOMEONE’S HOME – THEY BROUGHT HIM TO THE SHELTER BECAUSE THEY DID NOT WANT TO KEEP HIM. KERCHAK is a 7 year old who is very thin and emaciated. However he is the sweetest cat in the world! KERCHAK must have thought being found was a good thing because he was soliciting attention on intake. He continued his super friendly behavior and was given the highest BEGINNER rating. KERCHAK obviously loves people and soaks up all the petting he can get. Sadly the ACC seems to think he should have further testing to determine why he is so skinny. They seem to think it could be a thyroid condition however, we cannot take their diagnosis as fact. KERCHAK will need a full vet evaluation by a competent vet to determine if this poor boy was just a starving cat on the streets or if he indeed has a medical condition. KERCHAK deserves that chance but the ACC won’t give that to him – they are planning his demise at NOON Wednesday. KERCHAK just wants to live and have a home. He may have been an abandoned or lost pet who did not fare well on the streets of NYC. GIVE KERCHAK A ONE WAY TICKET OUT OF THE ACC AND INTO YOUR HOME. HE IS WORTH IT. EMAIL THE HELP DESK AT [email protected] FOR RESCUE CONTACT INFO NOW!!

05/23/16 18:14 Kerchak A1074857 is a 7yr old neutered male white & black DSH feline who was found in front of the finder’s residence a little while ago in the Bronx. They aren’t able/willing to keep him. They did state he was friendly and allowed them to pick him up and place him into a box they found to bring him in. During intake Kerchak had a soft body, soft eyes and was soliciting attention/affection. He allowed to be scanned (-), collared & taken pictures of. Kerchak didn’t seem to mind being picked up/held and was placed into a kennel with ease.
