Lying next to kennel mates, body and face tense. Makes eye contact when spoken to, then looks away. Tolerates petting along head and body while turning head to watch my hand and tilting ears. Needs more time to adjust.
12/11/17
Huddled next to littermates, body tense. Makes eye contact and tilts ears. Tolerates petting with a slow approach while backing away and maintaining eye contact. I clicker train them, rewarding each time they come forward. Likes treats – will continue to clicker train.

Kelly was lying down by the back, calm and relaxed.
Reaction when softly spoken to:
Kelly becomes alert, but blinks softly at the assessor.

Kelly hunches over and looks around.

Kelly was hesitant of touch, but stays in place and allows gentle petting on his head and body. He keeps a low body posture and blinks.
Reaction to being picked up:
Kelly is a bit tense during pick up, but remains calm when held.
