04/30/2017 PET PROFILE MEMO
04/30/17 17:40 Basic Info: Keiko A1110579 is a neutered male black & white DSH feline who is being surrendered along with his “sister” Nicola A1110578 due to the owner being hospitalized. Their other “siblings” Sandy A1110428 & Piski A1110429 were surrendered to us yesterday. They haven’t been seen by a vet recently and currently have no known health issues/injuries. Socialization: Keiko hasn’t been exposed to strangers. He hasn’t been around dogs but was gentle, playful, relaxed/affectionate with the adults and other cats in the home however is more of a loner & likes to be to himself/hiding. Keiko hasn’t bitten/scratched any person or animal. Behavior: During car rides Keiko will meow or be relaxed. He isn’t bothered with being placed into a carrier or being held/pet (when he comes to you for attention/affection). The following hasn’t been done to know his behaviors: being disturbed while sleeping/resting, having his nails trimmed, being brushed or bathed. There were multiple cats in the home and it wasn’t noticed if Keiko is one who scratches on the couch/walls in the home. The cats didn’t have a scratching post. For a New Family to Know: Keiko is described as friendly, playful (at times), affectionate (at times) & quiet with low-medium activity level. When the owner is home Keiko follows them around sometimes. He’s an indoor cat that sleeps around the home, eats dry & wet Meow Mix cat food 2x a day and uses an uncovered litter box with clumping litter within. Intake Behavior: Keiko had a soft body, eyes initially and allowed to be scanned (-). I gave him a few minutes to relax as he ran out of his carrier, tried to hide & appeared nervous/tense. I was unable to collar him or have his pictures taken on the backdrop due to Keiko not allowing me to remove him from his kennel; he was tense, moved back & growled. To place Keiko into the kennel I had to use a towel to cover him and Keiko seemed more at ease.
