MEDICAL BEHAVIOR: A little tense, swatting, growling, and hissing. ENRICHMENT NOTES: 7/5/17 In den on approach, peeking through holes. Stuck head out to sniff assess-a-hand. When placing hand outside of the opening, she slowly comes out of the den to sniff. She accepts gentle petting on her head and on her body, meowing softly. Her tail begins to sway and quiver, but she seems to appreciate attention and petting. Reaction to pick up: Katra backs away to avoid pick up. Her tail starts to sway side to side more rapidly. ACTIVITY LEVEL: Mellow, Moderate VOCAL: Somewhat chatty CHARACTER TYPE: Timid, Sweet, Curious RECOMMENDATIONS: – Experienced cat parents – Katra interacts with the observer and appreciates attention, but she may be fearful or stressed in the shelter. She may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to her new home. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
