Medical Summary Sex: Female Scan: Negative Estimated age: 3-5 years based on dentition and weight Fleas: No flea dirt. S: Arched head into pets, and then hissed. Allowed full exam without moving, but occasionally hissed. O: BAR-H, BCS 9/9, MMs pink and moist EENT: No discharge OU, AU, nose. Mild tartar and gingivitis. PLNs: Not enlarged. H/L: NSR, NMA. Harsh lung sounds and tachypnea. Abd: Soft, no pain on palpation, no masses palpated M/S/I: Amb x4. No skin lesions noted. UG: Female, shaved abdomen and no spay scar noted. Large (2-4 cm dia) firm round disc-like subcutaneous mass associated with left 3rd mammary gland. Pt tenses up when MGs are palpated. A: 1. Mammary tumor 2. Obese 3. Tachypnea, harsh lung sounds – R/O stress vs. MG neoplasia metastasis vs. other Short-term prognosis: Poor P: 1. Administered Activyl 9+ lb and pyrantel 1.4 ml PO during exam 2. Recommend FNA of MG mass and possible mastectomy pending this test. The mass is subcutaneous and not ulcerated or infected, which increases the chances that this is a benign mass and not a malignant one. (90% of MG tumors are malignant, only 10% are benign). 3. Recommend weight loss of 4-7 lbs 4. Buprenorphine 0.3 ml SQ BID x10 days 1088
