**SAFE 07/03/16** KUTIE KADEN NEEDS A HOME!! ….A volunteer writes: Kaden is a young man who will allow you to handle and pet him. He will reach out to shake your hand, and when he does, you will notice the loveliest white spot on his chest, accenting his jet black coat. Kaden may need some extra time adjusting to his new home, so average cat parents would be most suitable cat parents to him – they will know exactly how to make Kaden feel comfy and welcomed!….ALREADY NEUTERED AND AWESOME AVERAGE RATED!! APPLY TO FOSTER THIS EBONY SWEETHEART NOW!!

I was able to scan for a microchip, and a take a picture without any issues. When I put my hand out for Kaden to sniff, he started rubbing his head against my hand and allowed petting. Finder stated she noticed this cat coming around her backyard constantly and he has been stressing out her cats at home so she decided to bring him to our facility.

06/14/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – AVERAGE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Kaden came to the shelter as a stray, so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies in a home environment. Upon intake, Kaden was friendly and allowed all handling, but was fractious during his initial medical exam. Reaction to assessor: Kaden approaches the front of the cage, soft body language. Reaction when softly spoken to: Kaden rubs against the cage front. Reaction to cage door opening: Kaden remains soft and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Kaden head-butts the assessor and appreciates petting. Reaction to pick up: Kaden is tolerant of this type of handling, but tense. Placement Determination: Average Kaden approaches the assessor, solicits petting and attention and allows all handling. Due to the nature of his behavior during his initial medical exam, we recommend a slow adjustment to a new home environment and caution when visiting the vet.
