JUNO – A1080950
Gone - 7-17-2016 Brooklyn
***GONE 07/17/16*** Once upon a time, JUNO lived to be a year old in the Marine Park/Flatlands section of Brooklyn where someone found her wandering their backyard, hungry and trapped her. Instead of TNR’ing her, and feeding her and offering her shelter, or taking her in to tame (and they do become friendly with time!), they carried her in a trap to the ACC where she will die tomorrow. That is, unless someone with a heart, and just a little patience and a corner to give her a chance to get to know you says to a rescue, ‘Yes, I will give this little girl a chance.” JUNO does not deserve to die. She did nothing wrong except live and seek to eat. “Community cats” often hunt vermin such as mice and rats and often also are the sons and daughters of cats who were “turned out” to fend for themselves. JUNO will clean up nicely if you give her a chance at life. She’s just a year old, and deserves what we all do-to be happy, loved and cared about-and most of all, alive. Please work with a rescue to save JUNO tonight!

07/15/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Juno was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to his behavior in his previous home. Reaction to assessor: Juno hisses and retreats to the back as you approach the kennel. Reaction when softly spoken to: Juno lip licks and looks around the kennel, wary of his environment. Reaction to cage door opening: Juno remains motionless. Reaction to touch: Juno hisses with flat ears and will swat when you make contact. He continues to hiss at the assessor and currently doesn’t allow any handling. Behavior Determination: New Hope Only Juno is displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room and may require further investigation before placement in a home. His is extremely fearful in the shelter environment and does not currently tolerate petting or handling. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time.
