**SAFE 04/26/16** PREGNANT AND AFRAID – LITTLE KITTEN JULIP IS FACING DEATH AT NOON IF SOMEONE WON’T OPEN THEIR HEART TO HER TONIGHT! JULIP is a 9 month old stray kitten who is pregnant. She was trapped and dumped in the ACC by someone who probably just didn’t want her around. JULIP is afraid, which is totally understandable, and being pregnant makes matters even worse. The ACC is not in the business of socializing strays, although they are bragging about their new program on how they give behavior modification to cats who need help and are afraid. They evey have a famous tv personality to hide behind. But we know that despite how good the ACC tries to make itself look to the public, it won’t help sweet JULIP tomorrow at noon when the euth tech comes for her and kills her and her unborn kittens. JULIP is a kitten herself. But due to her fear she was punished with a New Hope rating and was warehoused til she could be listed tonight! THIS KITTEN DESERVES A CHANCE FOR A HAPPY ENDING TO THIS HORRIBLE STORY. OFFER TO FOSTER OR ADOPT JULIP NOW AND KEEP HER FROM WHAT THE ACC HAS PLANNED FOR HER TOMORROW. EMAIL THE HELP DESK AT [email protected] FOR RESCUE INFO.

Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Our enrichment facilitator has interacted with Julip and at the time she was pressed up against the back wall. Julip lips licks and shifts away from contact. She has wide eyes and is wary of surroundings. Reaction to assessor: Julip was tense and low in the litter box while being focused the assessor When spoken quietly: Julip remains tense and low in the litter box while being focused the assessor Reaction to door cage opening: Julip remains motionless Reaction to touch: Julip tries to avoid touched and i will bite if continued to attempt Try picking cat up: Did not attempt to pick up Julip Behavior Determination: NewHope Julip was brought to the care center as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies previous to what we are seeing during the evaluation. She seems to not be thriving in this environment and at the time of the assessment Julip was displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room and may require further investigation before placement in a home. She is extremely fearful and currently does not tolerate petting or handling. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time.
