SAFE 7/6/18 NEW PHOTOS! 13 year old JOEL was brought in by police along with housemate 33156 (no info or pic ) when their owner died and the cats were left in the apartment with no food or water. Poor JOEL is traumatized over the ordeal and is very upset at the shelter. He is confused and needs a new home where he can relax and regroup. Please help him today. He is already neutered.

Subjective: QAR, dull – mild dehydration. Covered in urine. Slightly thin.
Observed Behavior – allowed a little handling but then started growling, needed towel for restraint, tried to snap

Oral Exam: marked calculus and gingivitis but did not allow full exam
PLN: No enlargements noted
H/L: NSR, NMA, CRT < 2, Lungs clear, eupnic but occassional pant.
ABD: Non painful, no masses palpated
U/G: MC
MSI: Ambulatory x 4, skin free of parasites, no masses noted, full hair coat – covered in urine.
CNS: Mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities

Mild dehydration.
Mild hyperthermia.
Marked ddz.
Prognosis: Fair
Plan: SQF 175cc.
Monitor in medical – recheck VC tomorrow.
