***SAFE 06/07/16*** KITTY WILL DIE BECAUSE OF IRRESPONSIBLE PET OWNER!! JEANS is a gorgeous 5 year old brown tabby lady. She was dumped off at the ACC for one single reason: she scratched the leather furniture in the house. Her previous “owners” notes say many good things about her. She has interacted gently with young children ranging in age from 1-5 years. She lived in harmony with another cat, a small dog, and a large dog. She uses her litter box, plays with wand toys, and loves her Friskies. Did anyone see any mention of being provided with a SCRATCHING POST? Cat care 101: if you do not offer your cat an appropriate scratching surface, they will make their own. Any responsible pet owner knows this! Instead these people have dumped Jeans off to DIE because they couldn’t be bothered! She is tense in the shelter, but allows petting. She has been given an EXPNOCHILD rating. This beautiful girl can really shine once placed in a REAL home! Don’t let her die because of something so ridiculous! Please offer to FOSTER/ADOPT Jeans TONIGHT! She only has until NOON TOMORROW!
