*** SAFE 07/20/16 *** THREE HEALTHY KITTENS NAMED JAZZY, LOUISIANA AND GRAHAM EACH NEED A SPECIAL HERO TONIGHT! This group of 3 kittens are different ages but came from a home where there were just too many cats. GRAHAM is 8 months old, JAZZY is 11 weeks and LOUISIANA is 13 weeks old. These babies are totally healthy and other than a flea or two, are very adoptable. The ACC says they don’t kill healthy adoptable kittens, but here you have it – they talk out of both sides of their mouth. GRAHAM, LOUISIANA and JAZZY are obviously used to living with other cats and would most likely fit right into any multi cat household. But they only have until 12 noon Monday to find their new home. Fostering will save their lives – rescue will pay the vetting and you can give the TLC. Maybe even become a foster “fail”!! EMAIL [email protected] NOW FOR RESCUE INFO. GIVE THESE POOR FRIGHTENED KITTIES A CHANCE TO HAVE A HAPPY ENDING TO THEIR STORY.

Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Jazzy was brought in without information on her behavioral tendencies in a home environment. She allowed handling upon intake, but was very nervous during her initial medical exam and would hiss, swat, and retreat. Reaction to assessor: Jazzy was hiding behind a box upon approach. Reaction when softly spoken to: Jazzy becomes alert, but remains motionless. Reaction to cage door opening: Jazzy curls up inside of the body and wrap her tail closely to her body. Reaction to touch: Jazzy was hesitant and hisses when the assessor’s hand extended towards her. Her ears press flat against her head, but she allows gentle petting. She appears very uncomfortable, but no further reaction was displayed. Behavior Determination: Experienced, No Children Jazzy tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. She may need time to warm up to her new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
