11/20/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Jay Z was brought in without information on her behavioral tendencies in her previous home. She lived in a home with many cats. She was fearful during her initial medical exam and attempted to resist handling. Reaction to assessor: Jay Z was calm and relaxed by the front. Reaction when softly spoken to: Jay Z becomes alert and looks around, tense. Reaction to cage door opening: Jay Z hisses and retreats to the back. Reaction to touch: Jay Z focuses on the assessor’s hand, but sniffs it when placed in front of her. She hisses when petting was attempted, but tolerates petting and lowers her body. Behavior Determination: Experienced, No Children Jay Z tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. She may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to her new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
