***GONE 08/25/16***HANDSOME, FRIENDLY 3 YEAR OLD NEUTERED TUXIE MALE CAT is hoping for a home tonight. JASPER can go to a beginner home because he’s as sweet as can be! JASPER was found walking the streets with his two cats pals. They were brought to the shelter and now JASPER will be killed at the shelter tomorrow if he’s not rescued! JASPER was probably someone’s pet at some point, because he loves people and is very friendly. He likes being pet and leans in for more petting! JASPER is gentle, relaxed and sweet! He would make a wonderful friend, if given the chance! Please come scoop up this handsome guy before he suffers a tragic fate! JASPER IS A KEEPER! HE WILL BE FURR-EVER GRATEFUL TO BE RESCUED!!!

8/11/16 20:36 Basic information: A1085093 Jasper, A1085094 Donald and A1085095 James were brought in as strays from the same location. The finder found them on the street, the finder placed Jasper, Donald and James in a cat carrier and brought Them to the shelter. No other information could be provided during intake. Intake Behavior: During intake Jasper, Donald and James all had tense, stiff bodies. They all eventually allowed to be scanned (all negative), collared, pictured, and placed in separate cat kennels.

Jasper was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to his behavior in his previous home. The finder found him with two other cats in the same location. He was tense upon intake, but allowed handling to be conducted during the intake process and during his initial medical exam. Reaction to assessor: Jasper was lying down, calm and relaxed. Reaction when softly spoken to: Jasper looks around and sniffs. Reaction to cage door opening: Jasper gets up and greets the assessor by the front. Reaction to touch: Jasper accepts petting and leans in for petting. He continues to look around during the interaction. Reaction to being picked up: Jasper remains calm and allows handling. Behavior Determination: Average Jasper interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
