JAMES – A1085095
Safe - 8-30-2016 Manhattan
**SAFE 08/30/16** BEGINNER RATED, NEUTERED, & HANDSOME!!!
A volunteer writes: I was heading out the door, and there he was, perched high at the top of his cat condo, meowing away for me to stop and take notice of this handsome fellow! He was very happy to have someone to chat with for a couple of minutes and to get a couple of kitty chin tickles. This sweet man with a cute white stripe down his nose, made it clear, he is ready for a new adventure, in his new home. And, he’s already dressed in his black and white tuxedo finest to make the best impression! Mansion or hammock, though, he knows home will always be, with a new mom or dad!

08/14/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – BEGINNER
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
James was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to his behavior in his previous home. His finder found him with two other cats and was able to place them into a carrier and bring them to the care center. He was tense upon intake, but allowed handling during the intake process and during the initial medical exam. Reaction to assessor: James was perched on top of his kuranda bed, meowing when approached. Reaction when softly spoken to: James continues to meow, but comes to the front and leans against the cage door. Reaction to cage door opening: James remains soft and relaxed. Reaction to touch: James head-butts, begins to purr, and leans in for petting. He was very affectionate throughout the interaction. Reaction to being picked up: James remains calm and allows handling. Behavior Determination: Beginner James interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat can go to a beginner home.
