JAKE – A1063332
Safe - 2-1-2016 Brooklyn Rescue: Staten Island Hope Please honor your pledges: http://www.statenislandhoperescue.org/
***SAFE 02/01/16*** JAKE is a lovely young tabby who was brought to the ACC with some of his BFFs, when their former owner was evicted. He has been a little bit rattled by his change of residence, but he gathered himself up and earned a positively awesome EXPERIENCE rating. Jake will need a minute to catch his breath in his new home, but he should go on to live a long, happy and LOVING life. Make that happy ending possible for JAKE by finding a foster/adopter for him, tonight!

01/26/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Jake was looked at before his evaluation. At this time he was showing signs of being nervous. He allowed petting with a slow approach. Reaction to assessor: Jake does not come to front and appears nervous When spoken quietly: Jake does not come to front and appears nervous Reaction to door cage opening: Jake remains motionless Reaction to touch: Jake allows petting and attention with a slow approach but begins to stress meow Try picking cat up: Jake is tolerant of this type of handling but tense and continues to stress meow Behavior Determination: Experience Jake was brought to the care center as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies previous to what we are seeing during the evaluation. At the time of the assessment he was displaying timid behavior; does not seek attention from the assessor and becomes alert when the kennel was open. Remains motionless as I started to get closer but after a steady low approach using soft voices she relaxed a little. I was able to pet him and interact with him in a limited way. I was also able to pick him up and although he was tense no fractious behavior was display. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
