JACKSON – A1115215

***SAFE 06/28/17*** JACKSON IS A LARGE KITTY WITH A LARGE AMOUNT OF LOVE TO GIVE!! A volunteer writes: Come visit Jackson in his spaceship. He’s looking for an intergalactic travel companion. Sadly, his family is moving to where pets aren’t allowed, so he’s decided that this is his opportunity for the adventure of a lifetime. We haven’t told him that cats don’t get to go into space, so I would keep that under wraps when you meet him. We’re hoping the perfect new home will quell his bones for space travel. Although you’d never know it from looking at his astronaut air, Jackson is initially shy when he meets new people. His former family tells us that he is gentle, playful, relaxed and affectionate in the home, including with their 8yr old. He would, however, swat at them when they pulled his tail (duh!). They also tell us that he did not get along with other animals that they brought home (perhaps, proper introduction methods were not utilized). Jackson would follow his family members around the home, and he didn’t scratch furniture. They describe him as, and we’ve seen it in the Care Center, laid back, quiet, somewhat shy, and sweet. With us, he has shown his appreciation for petting by leaning into our hands and kneading his little paws. If you have dreams of going where no man has gone before, Jackson is ready to be your co-pilot, but he would probably settle for your lap. Come meet him. Another volunteer writes: If you love cats who look like ice cream sundaes, than you must meet our sweet boy Jackson. This creamy 19-pounder with the fudgy ears comes to us from a home, where he earned high marks for his friendliness, affectionate nature, and the gentle way he played with the child in the household. While his former people (who relinquished him because they were moving) told us he can be shy at first, at the Care Center Jackson was totally fine with all handling and petting. He even did well on his behavior test and was deemed to be a good fit for just about any kind of home. Jackson seems to be looking for new pet parents who will let him follow them from room to room . . . and then curl up for nap time whenever he feels like it. Come meet this delicious chunk of catness today!
JACKSON is an 18 lb chunky monkey whose owner dumped for moving – he has a rapid breathing rate and is obese and will need follow up vet check. If you like big kitties – come adopt Jackson!!
