SAFE 3/13/17 IZABELLA AND HER 4 WEEK OLD KITTENS NEED FOSTER!
Meet Izabelle and her family: This gorgeous mama came from a home with several other cats. Two other cats reportedly gave birth around the same time as Izabelle, but were not caring properly for their kittens. That’s where Izabelle the supermom stepped in! She began nursing all three litters and caring for them as her own. But being a single mom is hard, and Izabelle could use some help. It’s no walk in the park being the mother of 14 kittens! While most of these kittens are still nursing, some are beginning to transition into eating on their own, and although Izabelle loves her kittens dearly, nursing 14 is taking its toll on her. With some guidance (and patience, of course!), the older kittens will be eating on their own in no time. Please help lighten this incredible mother’s load by taking home this family today!

Profile
Basic Info
Izabelle is a 1 year old DSH whose owner had too many pets so she could not stay with him. She was born at home and lived with the same owner her whole life. She has not seen a vet before.
Socialization
Izabelle is shy around strangers and when they come over she will go into the owners room and stay there until they leave. She has not been around children before. She has lived with several other cats and gets along with them all and is playful and gentle. She has not ever been around dogs. She has not bitten a person or animal.
Behavior
Izabelle likes to scratch on furniture sometimes and drapes. She does not have litter box accidents. She struggles when being bathed but allows restraint and allows you to dry her afterwards as well. She is not bothered by being held or put into a carrier.
New Family
Izabelle has a medium level of activity. She sleeps in her owners bed and is fed meow mix and kibbles, she gets wet food once a day and has access to dry food all day. She uses the litter box very well and has an uncovered litter box and uses tidy cats clay litter. She has a scratch post that hangs on the door and is made of rough rope and smooth wood but she does not use it.
Intake Behavior
Izabelle allows al handling and is calm when touching her kittens but tenses up when picked up. She allowed all handling for scanning, collaring and photographing but will attempt to flee.
