05/15/16 20:44 Ivory is a four year old female white domestic shorthair. She was surrendered b her owner due to allergies of a family member. She was with owner since she was a kitten and is desribed as loving and afectionate. Ivory has lived with one adult. She is shy around strangers and takes several days for her to warm up. She has not been around children, other cats or dogs. Owner stated Ivory was bathed once a week and does not mind baths. She is not bothered when her nails are trimmed and loves being brushed. She likes to be held and owner stated she loves attention. Ivory has a high activity level and is often playful in the home. When home she tends to follow her owner around and has been kept only indoors. She is litterbox trained and used an uncovered literbox in the home. She had a vertical carpet scratching post which she used all the time. Ivory likes to play fetch and loves balls and mouse toys. She eats dry food frsikies brand and is fed wet food three times a week. Owner believes Ivory will do best in a single person home where she is the only pet. Upon intake Ivory was nervous and retreated to the back of the carrier, counselor was able to collar,scan (negative) and photograph.

As per previous owner, Ivory has lived with one adult. She is shy around strangers and takes several days for her to warm up. She has not been around children, other cats or dogs. Reaction to assessor: Ivory does not come to front but looks at you calm and relaxed When spoken quietly: Ivory comes to the front of cage soliciting attention Reaction to door cage opening: Ivory remains soft and relaxed Reaction to touch: Ivory solicits petting and attention Try picking cat up: Ivory is nervous when held Behavior Determination: Average Ivory was brought to the care center as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies previous to what we are seeing during the evaluation. At the time of the assessment she was displaying friendly behavior, comes to the front of the kennel, interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention and tolerates all petting. Ivory is displaying behavior appropriate for a new or experienced cat owner.
