SAFE 8/31/17 ISRAEL is a beautiful young kitten needing a loving home.
Israel A1123212 – 5 month spayed female black kitten, OS:
Israel is a 5 month old black and white unaltered cat. He was bred at home and surrendered to the center due to too many pets at home. He has no injuries or health problems that the owner is aware of.
Owner states that Israel is okay with strangers and prefers to be with the other cats in the house. He has not been around children or dogs. He has not bitten a person or another animal.
Owner did not state any known behavioral problems. Israel was quiet during the car ride in the carrier. Owner did not state any litter box issues. He has not given Israel a bath, brushed him, or trimmed his nails.
Israel was given both wet and dry food and kept indoors only. He was provided with an uncovered litter box with clumping clay.
Previously lived with: Adults and other cats
Behavior toward strangers: Does alright, but prefers to be with the cats in the home
Behavior toward children: Unknown
Behavior toward cats: Got along well
Behavior toward dogs: Unknown
Bite or Scratch history: None
Litter box training: Yes, uses an uncovered litter box with clumping clay
Observed Behavior – a little timid, stiff on exam, but allows full treatments/exam with minimal restraint.
Cage Condition: Cage is slightly re-arranged
Reaction to assessor: Israel was resting in her cubby, calm and relaxed.
Reaction when softly spoken to: Israel turns to look at the assessor with soft eyes, blinking sleepily.
Reaction to cage door opening: Israel remains soft and relaxed.
Reaction to touch: Israel sniffs the assessor’s hand and head-butts. She leans in for cheek rubs, rolls over, and begins to purr.
Reaction to being picked up: Israel is a bit tense, but is calm when held.
ACTIVITY LEVEL: Moderate
CHARACTER TYPE: Social, Sweet, Curious
BEHAVIOR SUMMARY: Average
Israel interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. No known history of behavioral problems. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.

EENT: Pink mm, eyes clear, no ocular or nasal discharge, ears wnl
HL: NMA, RR, Lungs C&E
ABD: Normal abdominal palpation, SNP, NMP
MS: Ambulatory x 4
A: Apparently healthy
P: Continue to monitor while at BACC. OK for surgery tomorrow
